Two in custody after allegedly bringing gun to bar fight in Menlo Park (KRON) -- Two suspects were taken into custody after allegedly brandishing a firearm after a fight at a bar in Menlo Park early Sunday morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Witnesses told the sheriff's office that two people were ejected from the bar, but they both later returned with a rifle. The two suspects then began threatening the crowd that was outside of the bar. Witnesses managed to provide a vehicle description and license plate number as both suspects fled the scene. (AP) — Souvenir hunters are haunting the “Beetlejuice 2” movie set in Vermont.State police are investigating two thefts, one of a large lamppost topped with a distinctive pumpkin decoration and the other a 150-pound abstract art piece taken from the vicinity of a cemetery.Someone bundled up the lamppost, covered it with tarp and fled at a high rate of speed in a pickup truck on July 14, while the theft near the cemetery took place several days later, state police said Thursday.The sequel to the 1988 movie is filming in East Corinth, near the New Hampshire border.The original Tim Burton horror comedy about a home haunted by ghosts played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin, and also starring Winona Ryder, also was filmed in East Corinth. Boat crashes into Lake of the Ozarks home, injuring 8 on board, troopers say (CNN) — A boat crashed into a home near the Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday night, injuring all eight people on board and extensively damaging the house, according to Missouri law enforcement.The boat’s occupants were thrown from the vessel when it crashed at the 1.5-mile mark of the main channel, Missouri State Highway Patrol said on Twitter.“The boat ran aground and struck a home, causing it to overturn, ejecting all eight passengers,” the tweet read.The driver of the boat, aged 46, was arrested for boating while intoxicated, the highway patrol said. His passengers were all adults, according to the incident report.All eight people were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Although we’re not expecting washout type weather or widespread rain chances, there may be an isolated storm or two for parts of the area from time to time. Tomorrow, most of the area stays dry, however there may be a spot shower or storm for parts of Worcester County, Western Mass, as well as southern Vermont and New Hampshire. Tuesday appears to be the highest chance for rain, with a few scattered storms possible in the afternoon.
