Final regulations in place for adult-use cannabis market

ALBANY, N.Y.(NEWS10)-- In less than a month, people across the state will be able for to apply for all tiers of marijuana licenses-- from growing, distributing, and selling. The final adult-use regulations were approved this week by the New York State Cannabis Control Board. New Yorkers who want to apply for general licenses starting October 4th, can file their applications through the New York Business Express Platform. "There’s going to be a very limited amount of time in which to apply," said Lauren Ruduck, Managing Principal of Rudick Law Group. "As of now it looks like there will just be a 60 day window within which to apply, so we’re certainly encouraging everyone to get their ducks in a row." Organized by the Lake George Arts Project, the festival is a three-day extravaganza of free jazz music, all located at the Shepard Park Amphitheater. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A man has been sentenced to decades behind bars in connection with a violent encounter that led to shots fired last year in Hazelwood. Quintin Warren, 34, was sentenced to 30 years in prison over unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action charges. The investigation dates back to June 18, 2022. As he took off with the cash in his vehicle, the woman and another person inside the car followed him. Shortly after that, shots were fired from the suspect vehicle, and gunfire struck the victim's car.
